It’s a Nineties Double Header!
Adelaide’s Funky Monks pay homage to one of the nineties greatest bands to come out of Los Angeles, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Funky Monks have been performing the music of the RHCP’s for a quarter of a century and have built a loyal following across southern Australia.
You will be treated to all the classics, including ‘Under the Bridge’, ‘Give it Away’, ‘Californication’ and a few more (because we all know there are lots!)
Fun fact, back in ’93 a couple of the band members from Red Hot Chilli Peppers joined the Funky Monks on stage for a jam at Cartoons after one of their show!
WOW! Never been a massive follower of the chili peppers. Never say never! After seeing tonight’s show I need to revisit. You guys were nothing short of extraordinary! Wow! What energy and skill. Every member is superb at what they do. Congrats guys! Highly recommend and I will be seeing you again and again.

Also based in Adelaide, is Five Against One, playing tribute to one of the other great bands of the nineties, Pearl Jam. Frontman, Dave Skull, vocal likeness to Eddie Vedder is genuinely uncanny!
I have seen these guys a few times and each gig is awesome!! I’m a huge fan of Pearl Jam and this group do them justice every time. Excellent musicians and Dave’s vocals…amazing!!
